I have been going to Palm Springs since I was a little girl,
but last week did something I had never done, I saw...
THE DOORS!
Colorful, quirky and cool just like the town,
I can see why these mid-century modern monuments are an internet sensation.
They are amazing and I was in awe.
We started at The Parker Hotel and their fabulous orange door entrance...
and after lunching at Norma's inside, we explored the grounds and found
"the wooden doors in the giant hedge"...
We then headed to the Indian Canyons Neighborhood
which is a mecca of fun, funky, dramatic doors.
The residents take great pride in their unique homes
at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains,
and the pops of color throughout the streets is such a treat.
First stop...
That Infamous Pink Door!
It is just as glorious in real life as it's portrayed online...
then the blue glass door down the street with the always adorned lions,
here they are holding black and white flowers...
and some were even decked out for the holidays...
