It feels like I haven't been able to take a breath since school started.
It's been a flurry of carpools, sports, homework, meetings and back to school nights,
I finally got a taste of some "me time" relaxation.
It was just a few hours home alone on a Thursday night,
with a glass of wine, a decadent cheese platter
and some favorite magazines.
It was a dream to pour over the fall fashions and colors in PEOPLE StyleWatch®
and the always inspiring Sunset® Magazine.
But I stopped in my tracks as I read about the food truck Bruschetteria,
in my favorite Napa Valley town of St. Helena,
and then went on to drool over Sunset's Goat Cheese, Artichoke and Olive Bruschetta recipe.
I decided right then that it was time for a Bruschetta Bash.
Simple cheeses and the season's best vegetables on rustic grilled bread,
there is nothing better for a light dinner or a show stopping appetizer.
The perfect pairing of creamy, tangy goat cheese with artichoke hearts and olives
then topped with fresh parsley is a little bit of heaven on bread...
Then I switched up the classic tomato bruschetta by spreading burrata cheese on grilled chibatta,
then layering on organic heirloom cherry tomatoes and a sprinkling of chives and salt...
and finally a bed of melted fontina cheese,
topped with thin sliced red bell pepper, fresh oregano leaves and a touch of lemon zest...
I have so many pages of inspiration ripped out of these magazines,
I am anticipating a stylish, colorful and delicious Fall!
I purchased my magazines at Safeway where you can
take advantage of $1.00 off participating titles (PEOPLE®, InStyle®, People StyleWatch®, Real Simple®, and Sunset®) with this digital offer until 10/18/15 while supplies last.
