BBQ Chip Dip

I have never met a chip I didn't like.
BBQ Chips are high on my list but,
in the land of "dip-able" chips, they are completely ignored.

After numerous trials and many opinions from my guinea pigs,
this is the debut of my...

Light, creamy with a hint of herbs...

perfect with the chip's spices
(but I don't discriminate, it is great with regular potato chips or veggies)

BBQ Chip Dip

8oz plain yogurt (I used Greek)
4oz softened cream cheese
2 tsp. Herbes de Provence
2 Tablespoons chopped chives
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp garlic powder
dash of salt

mix all ingredients in blender and chill an hour before serving with chips

Happy Super Bowl!

Simple and Sweet Birthday Centerpiece for any age

We are gearing up for "birthday season" around here.
My go-to centerpiece makes everyone feel special...

Glass-jar candles filled with sprinkles, displayed on a cake plate...

then topped with a special candle...
(those numbered candles on a dowel, and I stick them right into the wax)

My birthday isn't for months, but don't ask my number...
it isn't polite!

It is fine to light the candles,
just slightly move the sprinkles away from the wick so they don't smother the flame.
Happy Birthday!

The Easiest Super Bowl Craft…yes, a game day craft!

Everyone needs a Super Bowl Ring...
(and in my case, that will equate to a cocktail ring on Sunday)

The perfect accessory as you cheer for the Seahawks...

Clap for the Broncos...

or pray for your team to win...

Just a few supplies and a few seconds are all you need...

A dab of hot glue on the ring blank,
(I got mine at Joann Fabics and the pom poms at Michael's)
and just press your pom pom(s) on- that's it!

 I couldn't resist,
I made one for next season...
Go Niners!

Super Bowl STATE of mind

The Super Bowl can be a competitive day,
even in the world of stationery...

I just didn't feel right about making these for a friend in Denver...

without doing the same for a Seahawk fanatic I know...

What "state" are you in?

All the fabulous Business Card Business at Alt

I'm off to the Altitude Design Summit.
One of the highlights of the conference are the business cards.
You chat with people, you exchange cards, you make friends, you network.
With hundreds of creative minds, they are clever, innovative and gorgeous…a  sight to behold.

I recently gussied up my cards.
Thick cream paper, topped with a mini glittered silver envelope...

I am a fan of so many of the attendees.
Some of my cards will be packaged with these...

and some with these...

because I can't believe how lucky I am to be going.

I will be posting on

What we are serving for Super Bowl Monday...

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Rubbermaid and Sharpie but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RubbermaidSharpie  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

If yesterday's NFL Playoff game would have turned out differently,
our Super Bowl celebration would have been a rush of 49er red and gold.

We would have feasted on
San Francisco Crab and a Tree of Bread in honor of
#15 Michael Crabtree
(and because it is a great excuse to have crab & sourdough!)

and dove into Veggies and "Kaper-dip"
(blue cheese dip with a Siraccha #7,
spicy and bold, just like the Quarterback)

The show must go on...
we will always love the 49ers and are saving
the Crab-tree and Kaeper-dip for next year.
We are altering the Super Bowl Party menu
to honor the cities of Denver and Seattle.

But our Superbowl traditions will prevail.
All our guests will sign the Game Day Ball.
It will be awarded to the person,
who throws the most footballs, through a hanging hula hoop in 30 seconds.
It is a half-time event that is a must every year.
Believe me, we have a competitive group of friends (and kids) that are all clamoring to win.
(and there is nothing better than a Sharpie to sign a ball in your team's colors)

I can't have a party without a favor.
Everyone will leave with a little something for
"Super Bowl Monday".

This year it's a breakfast treat...

because turnovers are fun,
especially when they are in your favor...
I used this recipe...minus the rum.

From January 25th to February 8th text the word COUPONS to TARGET
(type TARGET in where you would text to a phone number) and
you will receive $1 off both Rubbermaid Storage Containers and Sharpies!

Sweet smell of Valentine's Day…a whiff of silly gifts

We always pick noses for Valentine's Day...
(read all about it here)

I recently had a request to preform a quick
Nose Job
and change them up just a little bit...

one for the stinker...

and one for the person that inflates your heart...

either way they'll be sharp...
