In the olden days before Pinterest,
I would comb through my magazines ripping out ideas and recipes.
(well, actually I still do it a little)
I recently came across page 192 from the June 2006 Food and Wine,
where I had saved their Caesar Salad with Meatballs...
That was before I knew my friend Chris,
and was lucky enough to have her Caesar Salad Dressing
It is creamy, garlicy and tangy.
We have it a least once a week, tossed with romaine and shaved parmesan cheese.
What a perfect pairing for a Meatball Caesar Salad...
Chris's Caesar Dressing
in a blender combine:
2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 egg
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tsp rinsed capers
1 tsp ground mustard
a dash or two of Tabasco
a dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce
then slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup olive oil
I know that back in 2006, I made the Food and Wine meatballs and they were fabulous.
Truth be told, for my 2014 version, I use the Trader Joe's Party Size Mini Meatballs.
I guess 8 years ago, I had a lot more time on my hands.
