My dad, Bob,
is the King of Popcorn
(or in this case, the General)
There are many ways he spices it up, but my favorite is when he
puts an Asian flair to it and adds soy sauce and Chow Mein Noodles.
To make Bob's Chow Mein Popcorn,
take about 6 cups of popped corn and spread onto a cookie sheet...
drizzle carefully with soy sauce,
(a thumb over the bottle top helps to control the flow)
about 2 Tablespoons...
then place into a 250 degree oven
for about 10 to 12 minutes to dry out any soggy kernels...
stir in about 1/2 of a 5oz can of Chow Mein Noodles...
and enjoy!
Savory, salty, crunchy...
Jack likes things spicy and adores Wasabi so we added
Wasabi Peas to his "Chow Mein"...
and "nutty" Carolyn added
Redskin Peanuts to hers...
(sorry I know Redskin is not PC to say but that's their name!)
These give to go snacks a whole new meaning!
