Ugh, seasonal allergies.
They hit like a ton of bricks.
They always seem to act up as the seasons change
and new pollens are in the air.
Sneezing, runny nose, scratchy throat
and for me the worst are the itchy, watery eyes.
It is called Allergy Face
and not only do you feel yucky,
everyone can see you feel yucky.
Zyrtec always makes me feel better,
(it is the #1 allergists recommendation for OTC oral antihistamines)
but there are times when I need to combat the exterior effects!
The first thing I do is something my grandmother taught me.
Ice Cold Milk + Cotton balls...
Soak cotton balls in milk and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Place cotton balls on your eyes and relax for a few minutes.
Something about the coolness
and the soothing effect of the milk, help to relieve the itch and redness.
Beauty Products can really help too...
1. Keep your face moisturized! I love this Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist. So hydrating and soothing, instantly your skin is more luminous.
2. and 4. Keep your Lashes long and luscious, to detract from any eye redness. I curl my lashes then apply Benefit They're Real...amazing
3. I have the best results with a navy eyeliner on my upper lashes. The navy seems to make my eyes look whiter and brighter...Thank you Bobbi Brown!
An interesting survey was done on Allergy Face,
it is a lot more common than you would think...
I think I will be looking at friends with those oversized sunglasses in a whole new way,
do they have Allergy Face under there?

Lucky me...I don't deal with allergies, just acne! ugh.
ReplyDeleteI really loved this post! I am currently receiving treatment for asthma and allergies. These sound like really wonderful ways to get relief from allergies naturally! I am definitely going to jot a few of them down.
