My son has become a little bit of a
Tomato Snob.
After the plentiful bounty he grew in the gargen this summer,
his new mantra is,
his new mantra is,
"I don't eat store bought tomatoes"!
Needless to say, we have them with about every meal
and last night we made the
Amazing BBHT
(Bacon, Buratta and Heirloom Tomato)
We grilled a split loaf of artisan bread and rubbed it with garlic...
topped with Buratta Cheese...
layered on Heirloom Tomatoes...
then added crumbled apple smoked bacon...
Want a bite?
and don't get me started on the
Blue Cheese Wedge Salad we had earlier this week...
What are we going to do when the summer ends
and we have to resort to the dreaded store bought?!
also on Tatertots and Jello, Six Sisters, Too Much Time, Its Overflowing, Monday Funday, Sunday Showcase, Frugal Foodie Momma, Project Inspired, 2 cup tuesday, Homework, Tidy Mom, Shabby Nest, Six Sisters
What beautiful dishes! Maybe I would love tomatoes more if I grew them myself? I'm thinking you need to start making plans for a greenhouse?
ReplyDeleteHow do I get myself invited for dinner?!! :) I had some store bought tomatoes in my pasta for dinner tonight and now I'm wishing I'd grown my own!!
