Ever since my children learned to make
Duck Tape® Wallets at camp,
I have been itching to make something too!
Every time I see a new fabulously fun roll of Duck Tape®,
I grab it and stash it away for the right opportunity.
When I heard about the Stuck at Prom® Challenge,
to make something
Prom Themed out of Duck Tape®,
I knew immediately which pattern I was going to use...
It reminds me of the colorful, whimsical designs from the 1960s.
I couldn't wait to get started.
My first creation was
The After Prom Sleep Mask.
After a night of boogieing,
(does anyone still use that term besides me?)
the girls are going to be tired and need some shut eye.
They still have to look glamorous....
It was so easy and only took minutes.
Step One
Measure out approximately 16 inches of tape...
and fold in half lengthwise, so you have
one strip with print on either side that measure 8 inches...
Step Two
Cut another strip 8 inches and lay on top of first strip,
the width along the side should be approximately 3.75 inches...
Step Three
Turn over and place another 8" strip over the
"sticky" part...
Step Four
I traced around an old sleep mask with Sharpie...
and cut it out...
punched holes in either side and inserted pretty ribbon...
I couldn't let the scraps go to waste...
the pretty flowers in the pattern just seemed to scream,
"Cut me out"...
So I did...
(make sure to fold the tape over so it is not sticky on the back)
and then I punched a tiny hole and
attached it to an earring...
and a fun
Prom-worthy pair of earrings was born!
If you are 14 or older, you can get in on all the Stuck at Prom® fun too!
