We have become the
Hot Chocolate Family for my daughter's club volleyball team.
The first tournament was bone-chillingly cold and my son suggested we
whip up a big batch of cocoa for the girls.
Now we make it for every game.
They had a 3 day tournament over the weekend and
once again our lovely Northern California weather took a turn for the worst.
The first day of play didn't go as well as we hoped,
so for the 2nd day I pumped up the cocoa fixings to cheer up the team.
They "spiked" their cocoa with...
shaved chocolate
graham cracker crumbles
and jumbo marshmallows
S'mores Hot Cocoa Style...
I cozied them up with a little yarn in the team colors...
Can you feel the frigid air and
sense the enthusiasm for being in a conference center parking lot at 7am?
(and yes, volleyball wreaks havoc on your manicure)
Cheers girls, thanks for making volleyball so exciting to watch!

Holy cow--were the games outside? UGH! BUT you are the bomb for bringing such a sweet treat to the games! Our family was responsible for the whoopie pies (pumpkin and chocolate) and YOUR white trash coffee cake.
ReplyDeleteHope your daughter's games picked up!
My daughter is skipping the club season and is taking classes working on getting that serve perfected!
So cute!
Give me S'more please! Warm, cozy & delicious! Can't wait to try it out! Happy Week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming by for one of these ... it had better be ready!
ReplyDeleteOh, you've got to be one of the best moms. I bet those girls appreciated that hot chocolate and the extra effort you put in with the cups.
