We just returned from vacation and I am still shocked at what I came home to!
From 6th to 12th grades I went to a small all girls' prep school and
Whitney was my friend until she left after 8th grade, to go to another school close by.
I would still see her from time to time
and had heard a little about what was going on in her life,
but had lost touch until Facebook and our recent school reunion.
She looked fabulous and happy and it was so good to see her again.
I got an email from her last week asking for my address.
I thought maybe for a Christmas card list.
Instead I received the most sincere and beautiful note,
letting me know that she reads my blog...
and she thought I might enjoy these little treat from home
the fabulous caramels from Julienne
that I did not have to put in Stephanie's birthday package.
an unbelievably sweet thing to do...
At our reunion I struggled a little when asked to video tape
my fondest memories from high school.
I graduated with a great education and my two best, life-long friends,
but maybe the some best memories are yet to be made.
Whitney, I am so touched by all your graciousness.
What a special friend to have back :)
How sweet!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet!
ReplyDeleteLittle things can mean a lot! Now if they are salted caramels I will have to snitch one...

Talked about you yesterday with one of your lifelong friends. :) "We" think it's time for you to come visit. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it when someone from your past pops up and lets you know that not only have you not been forgotten, but you've been missed!
Lucky you to have a new/old friend like Whitney!
