Grapes and Peaches for the 4th

We had such a wonderful weekend in Napa Valley!

This year I decided to spend more time enjoying the fun 
than obsessing about getting the perfect pictures.

(my easy red, white and blue bandana bunting)


We were with wonderful old friends and a few new friends.
The food was all fabulous but I have to highlight 
Melissa's Famous Grilled Peach Salad...


Grilled Peaches topped with mascarpone cheese and marcona almonds.
An annual menu item that we all look so forward to...


Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the chef with her creation,
 but she is quite the hostess!

    I love grilled peaches, never thought to top them with marscapone! Adding this to my must try list for summer.

    I have always wanted to go to Napa Valley...everything about it just seems so beautiful and peaceful. Maybe someday....
