Getting Crabby...

Every year we anxiously await Crab Season in the San Francisco Bay Area, not only because we love Dungeness crab but because the holidays are near and the Ingram family comes over!
~
Since he was a baby, Henry Ingram has always loved sitting at our kitchen "counter" while the adults have fresh crab and few cocktails. Our house was built long before the days of "kitchen islands" but it does open into a "great" room and our counter extends across with bar stools. Henry is now 8 and I am sure he has been to countless homes with fancy islands made of marble or granite. Last year I thought about moving the party into the Dining room...I mentioned it to his mom Anne. After a long pause she said,
"I don't think Henry is going to be happy,
he is really looking forward to his usual place at the counter".
~
Counter it is, I think I am happier there too...bring on the Crab!

Kaitlyn's Party-Tea Party Fashion Show

In true "fashionista style" Kaitlyn's party has changed!
She has now decided to have her friends wear their prettiest dresses,
have their hair and nails done, strut their stuff in a fashion show
and finish the party with tea.

Rumor has it there may even be a disco ball...oh to be 7 again!

Seaside Sweets~Blue & Green Candy Buffet

I just got the pictures from the Bat Mitzvah I worked on last month.

Rachel's Seaside Sweets was quite a hit!

C&M Photography in San Francisco did a wonderful job

capturing the event.

Harrison is growing UP!

Harrison's 5th birthday is close to Thanksgiving so his mom wants an easy and low key party where friends and family can come celebrate. Inspired by the new DVD release of UP...they are having everyone over for dinner, cake and a "private screening" of the movie.

Harrison can't wait to "Whoop it UP" with everyone....

and I hope the UP books as favors with helium balloons attached
will FLY with all the guests!

It is Show Time~Packaging a Gift Card

Buying gifts for children's birthday parties can be a chore...
often times you don't know what they have or want.
In the past I was reluctant to give gift cards because it just didn't
seem like a very exciting gift to open.
I have realized that kids love them, they can get what they want
and if you are a 10 year old girl you love I Tunes!
~
This seemed perfect for Claire's Birthday Party today,
the girls were going to lunch and a movie.
Fun to give and Fun to get!

Turning 7 is always in fashion...

Kaitlyn has a style all her own.
She is a smart, funny, curious little girl who has a real knack for fashion.

She will take the shirt from one outfit, the skirt from another, borrow a scarf from her older sister, then throw on some boots to create a fabulous ensemble for school.

What kind of birthday party does she want?

FASHION!
~
~Her first invitation option is a scalloped hot pink card
in a faux crocodile tote~

~Her 2nd option~

I can't wait to see which one she chooses...

A Wild Holiday Dinner

The "girls" that were roommates in San Francisco years ago,
"try" to get together frequently in the city.
With busy schedules it is not always easy
but the Annual Holiday Dinner is a "cannot miss event"!

Serving Up a Happy Birthday

Birthday wishes to the coach from the team.
Their name is the "Blurples"(a combo of Blue and Purple)
so it was only fitting to have the gift in the same color scheme!
